Mark Stoops rounded out his 2018 Kentucky coaching staff this offseason by hiring receivers coach Michael Smith following his five-year stint at Arkansas and adding former Indianapolis Colts assistant Brad White to be his outside linebackers coach.
Thursday, the school released the contract details for each new Kentucky assistant coach. According to Jennifer Smith of Kentucky Sports, both assistants landed contracts that last just over two seasons in Lexington. Both deals are set to expire in the summer of 2020.
Here’s the total breakdown for each coach and how much they are scheduled to make coaching for the Wildcats:
- Michael Smith: $375,000 in 2018, $400,000 in 2019
- Brad White: $375,000 in 2018, $400,000 in 2019
Considering Stoops has one of the lengthier contracts among SEC coaches, he’s signed thru 2025 at the moment, should these assistants perform well over the next two seasons, there’s a good chance they could have a long stay in Lexington.
