It was a tough year for Alabama’s linebacking corps, even as the team went on to win the national championship.
The depth was tested early and often, with a couple of players going down against Florida State in the season opener and others suffering injuries throughout the rest of the season.
However, the returning players should be healthy for 2018, and on Saturday, reserve LB Jamey Mosley (brother of former Alabama star C.J. Mosley) updated his Twitter to say he had a successful surgery on Friday:
Successful surgery yesterday! Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers! What a year! What a team! On to the next one. #Roadto18

In limited action this year, Mosley recorded 12 tackles and one sack. The redshirt junior will likely be counted on to play a bigger role in 2018, though.
At least he’ll be healthy, if his tweet on Saturday morning is any indication.
