After being fired, not many coaches care about what happens to the program they leave or reach out to their replacements. Bret Bielema is not in that category.
Wednesday when Arkansas officially announced it hired former SMU coach Chad Morris to replace Bielema, the former Razorbacks coach congratulated Morris on Twitter.
This was a very classy move from Bielema, especially considering how he found out he lost his job, following Arkansas’ 48-45 season-ending loss to Missouri the day after Thanksgiving.
“I was informed coming off the field that I am no longer the coach of Arkansas,” Bielema said after the game. “Never had this happen to me in my life, so this is new for me.”
In his five seasons with the Razorbacks, Bielema was 29-34.
