It looks like people around the NFL are beginning to take notice of Drew Lock.
Missouri’s junior QB has definitely put up impressive numbers over the past two seasons. Lock has put up back-to-back years of at least 3,300 yards passing and 23 TDs while setting an SEC single-season record for passing TDs with 43 this season.
He is now one of just two SEC QBs to throw for 40 or more TDs in a season and is riding an impressive six-game winning streak to finish the year. In that streak, Lock has led the Tigers offense to at least 45 points in every single game and 50 or more points three times. It also appears his performance has caught the attention of some around the NFL.
Josh Norris shared the comment from Dan Patrick that one NFL scout “really likes” Lock:
Dan Patrick relays word from an NFL scout who “really likes” Missouri QB Drew Lock. Same one loved Mahomes last year.
The name is generating momentum. @dpshow

Tim McKernan shared comments from former NFL QB Trent Dilfer on Lock, and Dilfer believes Missouri’s QB is as talented as any QB coming out of school:

It remains to be seen if Lock will return for his senior season, but the Tigers are already looking for a new OC after Josh Heupel left to take the UCF job. Heupel’s departure and an impressive junior season may lead Lock to the NFL draft.
