Ed Orgeron discusses facing Tennessee in Brady Hoke’s first game as interim coach

LSU coach Ed Orgeron knows a thing or two about taking over as an interim coach, as that’s what he did for the Tigers when Les Miles was fired last season.

On Sunday, Tennessee fired coach Butch Jones, which means Brady Hoke will serve as the Vols’ interim coach for the last two games of the year. One of those games will be against Coach O’s Tigers on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

During his Monday press conference, Coach O said it’s never easy being an interim coach, but added that he expects Hoke to have the Vols fired up to play:

Hoke’s team will indeed be motivated, as another loss will likely eliminate the Vols from bowl contention. And at 0-6 in SEC play, the Vols really want to avoid an 0-8 record against conference foes this year.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 7 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN.
