Duke's Wendell Carter Jr. gets tech for elbowing Michigan State's Ben Carter in the face

One technical was called during No. 1 Duke’s win over No. 2 Michigan State in the Champions Classic on Tuesday night. It happened during the second half when the Blue Devils’ Wendell Carter Jr. hit the Spartans’ Ben Carter in the face with his elbow.

While some may say the Duke forward should’ve been ejected for this elbow that caused the Spartans forward to drop to the ground, it should be noted that Wendell didn’t swing his arm at random. He was reacting to Ben grabbing onto his jersey.

Like it or not, Duke won and Wendell finished with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
