Swinney to attend Alabama game for '92 title team ceremony

Will Dabo Swinney be cheered or booed Saturday night?

We’ll find out when the Clemson head coach heads to Alabama as the Crimson Tide honor their 1992 national championship team. A Tigers spokesman confirmed to Michael Casagrande of AL.com that Swinney will fly in for the game against Arkansas, since Clemson plays Friday.

Swinney began his playing career at Alabama as a walk-on. He played three years as a wideout from 1990-92 before starting his coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Crimson Tide.

Less than a year ago, Clemson bested Alabama in the national title game 35-31, a contest that is no doubt still fresh in the minds of Crimson Tide fans.
