Nick Saban previews Colorado State, shares thoughts on Shaun Dion Hamilton’s return from injury

After another dominating win, Alabama is set to host Colorado State this weekend in Tuscaloosa. One thing of note heading into this game, the Rams are led by former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

Saban was among the first coaches to speak during Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference.

Here’s a summary of what he had to say:

  • Colorado State is a very good team, played impressively this year. Could have beaten Colorado if not for some penalties that called back touchdowns. Our players had better respect them?
  • What impresses you the most about walk-on Jamey Mosley? He’s worked really hard, very important to him to know what to do and to do it well.
  • On CSU’s QB Nick Stevens: He does a great job of executing the offense. He does a lot of checks, gets them in the right play often. He takes what the defense gives, probably from a passing standpoint, probably the most efficient.
  • Thoughts on Shaun Dion Hamilton’s return from injury? He’s done well, he won Player of the Week one week. I know it’s been a struggle for him to get back to where he was.
  • More on CSU: They do a great job of getting takeaways on defense and playing efficiently on offense.
