Watch: Top TE commits to Ohio State via go-kart race

Urban Meyer showed he’s among the best recruiters in college football yet again Monday, as the Ohio State coach landed a commitment from Jeremy Ruckert, the top tight end in the country in the class of 2018.

The Lindenhurst, N.Y., native revealed his choice in a unique announcement, enlisting a number of his friends for a go-kart race that Ohio State won.

The ESPN 300 ranks Ruckert as a four-star prospect and the 39th player overall in the country. He turned down a number of schools, including Big 10 rival Michigan, to commit to Ohio State.
