Former Georgia QB Greyson Lambert signs professional baseball contract

Former Georgia QB Greyson Lambert didn’t have the college career he envisioned, as he saw Jacob Eason take over the starting job last season while he was relegated to backup duty.

However, he’s doing well for himself in his post-college career and is now trying his hand at a different sport.

According to Lambert’s Instagram page, he has signed a contract with the Texas Rangers organization and will join their minor league system:

Lambert, who didn’t play baseball at Georgia, signed as a pitcher. As a former quarterback, he definitely has the arm strength necessary to succeed on the mound.

The 2015 season was Lambert’s best, as he appeared in 12 games, completing 162 of 256 passes for 1,959 yards and 12 touchdowns.
