Florida's Thompson wants to 'beat the brakes off Michigan' in season opener

Mark Thompson is chomping at the bit to battle Michigan in Florida‘s season opener on Sept. 2, and he isn’t mincing words about it.

The redshirt senior running back voiced his displeasure Monday about a perceived lack of respect toward his team, and is confident in proving a point to the naysayers:

The matchup between the Gators and the Wolverines is one of the most noteworthy on opening weekend, and if Thompson has things his way, it will be a lopsided affair.

In limited playing time last season, Thompson rushed for 299 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 60 carries.
