The Charleston RiverDogs were exciting to welcome the Columbia Fireflies for a three-game weekend series because it meant Tim Tebow was coming to town.
In the Southeast, Tebow means ticket sales. The RiverDogs appeared to be having fun with it, even displaying on the stadium scoreboard that Tebow would likely lead to exposure on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” Low and behold, the RiverDogs got a “SportsCenter” moment from Tebow.

As the fan was happy to tell Tebow, the bat slip blooper did get him, and by extension the RiverDogs, on “SportsCenter.” Thankfully, no one was hurt by the bat entering the stands.
According to MiLB.com, Tebow is currently batting .228 with three home runs and 21 RBI.
