Ndamukong Suh already impressed by Charles Harris

The Miami Dolphins could have one of the league’s top defensive lines adding former Missouri standout Charles Harris to a unit which already features five-time Pro Bowlers Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake.

Harris, who was selected No. 22 overall by Miami, hasn’t been in the Dolphins’ organization long, but the rookie has already impressed Suh.

“Charles, in my opinion, is a very focused kid,” Suh recently told Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post. “I’m very excited about his approach to the game. Very detail-oriented. Obviously takes coaching very, very well. Implements it very quickly, as you coach him up, in games.”

According to Suh, Harris could be looking at a starting spot.

“Obviously, he’s been running with the ones and getting a lot of play time in our package that we like (to) run, in regards to pass rush,” Suh said of Harris. “He’s had a lot of good things, in my opinion, but everybody’s got a lot of work to do. We’ve got a long way ahead of ourselves.”

While Harris faces tough competition in Wake and Andre Branch for snaps at defensive end, Lieser notes that the Dolphins could potentially play Harris at defensive tackle in certain packages.
