Ex-LSU CB Tre’Davious White’s first big purchase will be something incredible for his mom

For several former SEC players, dreams came true this year in the NFL Draft.

Former LSU CB Tre’Davious White was one of them. The ex-Tiger was drafted No. 27 overall by the Buffalo Bills, and now that his contract is signed, he’s going to make a special purchase for the most important woman in his life, his mother.

“Honestly, my mom, she’s been renting homes my whole life,” he said, via BuffaloNews. “My duty is to get her in a comfortable situation, where she can call something her own. I feel like that’s my job as her child – I owe it to her for all the sacrifices she made for my little sister and two brothers.

“It hasn’t hit home yet,” White said after the Bills finished their third practice of the spring. “My life changed. I’m able to do some things for my mom that typically a normal guy wouldn’t be able to do. Coming from the background I come from, that’s a big deal. I’m very proud of myself.”

Although official numbers weren’t released, White can expect a rookie deal worth around $9.3 million, with more than $7 million guaranteed. Those figures are based on last year’s NFL Draft for the 27th overall pick.

Like White, former LSU RB Leonard Fournette gave his mother a special present, along with former Alabama OT Cam Robinson.

Not only is White a rich young man, but he’s also a great cornerback who should have a nice NFL career.

It will be a belated Mother’s Day present for White’s mother, and should his pro career take off, it likely won’t be the last present he gives her.
