Tennessee's O'Brien stretchered off after helmet-to-helmet hit

Kyle Field held its collective breath early in the fourth quarter of Tennessee‘s game against Texas A&M on Saturday, as defensive lineman Danny O’Brien lay motionless on the field.

The redshirt senior collided with Aggies running back Keith Ford and did not get up after the two players’ helmets met one another. O’Brien remained on the field for a number of minutes before being taken to the locker room on a stabilizing board.

Both teams took a knee in support and prayer for the injured O’Brien.

No official word has been given on the extent of his injury.
