In the third quarter of the Vols’ game against Texas A&M on Saturday, senior defensive tackle Danny O’Brien went down with an apparent head injury. This one was also scarier than most, as O’Brien needed to be taken off on a stretcher and carted away.

Per SEC Country’s Mike Griffith, O’Brien was moving his extremities when he was taken to hospital for further evaluation.

O’Brien went down after helmet-to-helmet contact with a Texas A&M player. He was the second Tennessee player to go down with an injury in the quarter, as backup linebacker Cortez McDowell was also hurt.
