The Ole Miss Rebels are well rested following a bye last week, and they will be gunning for a third straight outright victory as they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Rebels’ current straight-up run has lifted them to 3-2 on the season, a record matched at the sportsbooks following the team’s three straight against-the-spread victories. Mississippi fell 45-34 to Florida State as 4.5-point underdogs in its only previous road game this season and is just 1-3-1 ATS in its past five away games.
Arkansas has disappointed at the sportsbooks with three straight ATS defeats, including last week’s 49-30 loss to Alabama as 14.5-point home chalk, and has covered just once in four home dates this season.
Point spread: The Rebels opened as 6.5-point favorites, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. (Line updates and matchup report)

Why the Ole Miss Rebels can cover the spread
The Rebels offense has taken flight over its past three contests, averaging 45.3 points per game while surpassing 500 total yards. The pass defense surrendered 355 passing yards to Memphis two weeks ago but also picked off Tigers quarterback Riley Ferguson three times in a 48-28 win. Ole Miss had held opposing passers to 166 or fewer yards in its previous three games.
Mississippi has also not allowed an opposing passer to find the end zone since the third quarter of its Week 1 loss to the Seminoles.
Why the Arkansas Razorbacks can cover the spread
The top-ranked Crimson Tide were too much for Arkansas last week but the Razorbacks have regularly risen to the occasion against nationally ranked squads, going 3-2 SU in their past five. The Razorbacks have also shown resilience in recent games following a SU loss, going 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS in their past four such outings.
Arkansas has quickly become a tough team to beat at home, going 10-3 SU in its past 13 games, and has scored 30 or more points in four of its past six contests.
The Razorbacks raised expectations this season by opening with three straight SU wins but have wilted in clashes with SEC rivals, losing three of four, SU and ATS, including a pair of home losses.
One of the exceptions is Ole Miss, which has lost its last two SU, and three ATS, to the Razorbacks. But with quarterback Chad Kelly cleared to play following a recent off-field incident, the Rebels offense should wear down an overmatched Razorbacks squad. Look for Mississippi to earn the SU win and the Razorbacks to suffer a fourth straight ATS loss.
Mississippi is 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS in its last seven games on the road against Arkansas.
Arkansas is 7-23 SU in its last 30 games against its conference.
Mississippi is 12-4-1 ATS in its last 17 games in October.
