Lawton Nalley, the Arkansas associate professor who was arrested for yelling obscenities at Arkansas coach Bret Bielema, has issued a statement apologizing for his actions Saturday night:
“I embarrassed myself, the college and the university. I hold myself to higher standards and have no excuses for my actions. I especially want to apologize to Coach Bielema.”

The media release also includes a statement from the dean of Nalley’s college confirming that he will remain employed by the university.
Bielema maintained his sense of humor about the situation on Monday:
Bret: Said he has not heard from professor who yelled obscenities at him, but was impressed he pronounced ‘Bielema’ properly
