Wacky Utica interception bounces off receiver's back and defender's helmet

Utica College’s Dehstin Smart came away with a strange interception in the Division III Pioneers game vs. SUNY Cortland on Saturday.

It first bounced off the receiver’s hands, then the receiver’s back, then his teammate’s helmet, before it finally landed in Smart’s hands.

That’s a lot of bouncing around — somehow it bounced just the right way for Utica. Props to Smart for staying focused to grab that one.

Utica went on to win the game, 24-13.
