Kliff Kingsbury apparently did not care at all about parking signs when he was a student at Texas Tech. According to a portion of a story written by the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal‘s Don Williams, Kingsbury racked up $1,500 worth of tickets.
But it wound up being a good thing for Kingsbury’s coaching career. Here’s the full story that was tweeted out by Williams, who noted that it’s printed in Lubbock magazine.
So the story says that when Kingsbury felt he was done with his football career, he toyed with the idea of getting his MBA. However, because he would’ve had to pay off his parking tickets in order to get his undergrad diploma to apply for grad school, he decided to scrap that idea and go into coaching instead.
I have a few questions about this. Now that he has made his way back to coaching at his alma mater has he paid off the tickets? How did he manage to collect so many tickets? What other stories does Kingsbury have to tell?
