Louisville 63, Florida State 20—Final
It was supposed to be a potential game of the year, but quarterback Lamar Jackson and No. 10 Louisville had different ideas as they demolished No. 2 Florida State in a 63-20 rout Saturday.
The Cardinals (3-0) did little wrong on both sides of the ball. Jackson spearheaded an offense that blew the Florida State defense off the field. He amassed 362 total yards and five touchdowns (one passing, four rushing) to just one turnover. At the end of the afternoon, the Cardinals offense had 530 total yards despite Jackson sitting for most of the fourth quarter.
Louisville dominated the Seminoles (2-1) in every phase of the game. Deondre Francois threw for only 101 yards, Dalvin Cook averaged 3.4 yards per carry and 54 rushing yards total and the Florida State offense managed just 284 yards against a surprisingly stingy Cardinals defense.
