Clemson's Boulware to miss upcoming game with ankle injury

Linebacker Ben Boulware will be held out of Clemson‘s upcoming game against South Carolina State, head coach Dabo Swinney told Aaron Brenner of The Post & Courier on Sunday.

Boulware suffered a right ankle injury during the second half of Clemson’s narrow 30-24 victory over Troy on Saturday, and was seen on crutches on the sideline.

Despite him feeling “a lot better,” according to Swinney, the team decided to go the safe route. However, the coach doesn’t expect Boulware to miss the team’s first conference game against Georgia Tech on Sept. 22.
