Former Major League Baseball star Darryl Strawberry made the trip to Tuscaloosa to speak with the Alabama football team Tuesday.
The 17-year MLB pro certainly had his ups and downs following an incredible rise to stardom in the big leagues, which included numerous All-Star appearances and World Series titles but also included arrests, battles with drugs and a wild personal life.

With all the temptations and offers likely being thrown at Alabama players with potential NFL careers on the horizon, having a speaker who can personally relate to them should only help their focus and goals as the season inches closer to becoming a reality.
Who knows, if Strawberry has an opening on his schedule in the fall, you may see him on the sidelines of Bryant–Denny Stadium for the latest edition of the Iron Bowl.
