USA Today ranks all 128 teams in college football

USA Today waited until game week to drop its preseason rankings, but nonetheless, the top 128 made it out Tuesday.

USA Today dropped its preseason coaches poll earlier this month, and six SEC teams were ranked in the top 25. This time, USA Today expert Paul Myerberg released his top 128 ranking.

Myerberg’s take is usually different than the normal top 25, and this year is no different. Most publications have Tennessee ranked in the top 10, while Myerberg has the Vols ranked at No. 12. In addition, he has San Diego State ranked ahead of Ole Miss, Florida and Georgia in the top 25.

Myerberg also has Western Kentucky, Temple, Appalachian State, Navy and Southern Miss all ranked ahead of Arkansas, Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
