Michigan recruit says he decommited after school's terrible clerical error

We’ve seen future college football players decommit because of Twitter rants and because a head coach didn’t remember a recruit.

Now, we’ve got a recruit decommitting because of the mail.

Aubrey Solomon, a four-star defensive tackle, revealed the reason why he pulled his commitment to 247 Sports:

“A day or two ago, they sent my mom a card thanking us for going to the Michigan bbq, but we never went,” Solomon said. “I do not know which recruit they were talking to, but it was not me. It was just a little heartbreaking, for me to supposedly be so high on their list, for them to confuse me with someone else. Plus they spelled both of my names wrong after I told them, but that was not the main issue. I guess they do not have tabs on me.”

He said in a tweeted note that Michigan is still a possibility, however:

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Jim Harbaugh’s office when he heard about this …
