LSU football visited displaced families from the tragic flooding in Baton Rouge

The massive flooding in Baton Rouge has claimed the lives of at least 11 people and displaced thousands more.

On Thursday, the LSU football team did what it could to brighten the day of families going through unthinkable stress. The team visited the Celtic Media Centre, which is housing displaced families, and spent time with the families.

The players took photos and signed autographs for the families, volunteers and flood victims.

Junior quarterback Brandon Harris said via brproud.com:

“I lost my car, but, at the same time, it could’ve been a lot worse than that — my home — something my family has worked hard on my entire life. Building a home, building a foundation — we could have lost that. A car can be replaced. I just feel for these people. It’s so sad to understand what they’re going through right now. Just to be able to come here and put a smile on someone’s face is important to me.”
