Texas A&M linebacker Josh Walker was arrested Friday on charges of domestic assault.
Per Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office charged Walker with assault causing bodily injury to a family member and interfering with emergency requested for assistance stemming from an alleged incident Friday.
Zwerneman passed along more details from College Station police Corporal Matthew Alaniz:
Walker is being held at Brazos County Detention Center, and no bond has been set.
A Texas A&M athletic department spokesman told Zwerneman that Walker is suspended, per the school’s athletic department policy.
Walker is entering his junior season at Texas A&M. He started one game in 2015, recording a total of 18 tackles.
The Aggies will open the 2016 season at home against UCLA on September 3.
