It seems like everyone has an opinion on Colin Kaepernick’s decision. From his former head coach Jim Harbaugh to Will Muschamp at South Carolina, plenty of people have weighed in on Kaepernick’s actions.

And former Georgia tennis player John Isner offered strong comments on  Kaepernick not standing for the National Anthem.

“I thought that was pathetic from him. The cause he was going for, fine by me,” Isner told Bryan Graham of the Guardian. “But don’t go into it with that fashion. It really irked me. I’m a big Blaine Gabbert fan now.”

Isner won his first round match against fellow American Frances Tiafoe in five sets on Monday. Isner dropped the first two sets to rally back and win the fifth set in a tiebreaker. Isner is the highest ranked American in the U.S. Open.

Isner will take on Steve Darcis of Belgium on Wednesday in the second round.
